On an acre of land nestled in the heart of Birmingham, Alabama (Homewood, Edgewood to be more exact), Longview Cottage is a respite from the hustle and bustle. Here, the garden embraces a simple, sustainable existence that is harmonious with nature. Flora is hand-picked at its peak for extraordinary scent and freshness. Each stem is then woven into romantic, textural artwork that looks dreamy and smells divine.

Try any of the following methods to help your flowers last longer.
- Place them in a clean vase with fresh water as soon as possible.
- Make sure the foliage is above the water line.
- Keep your flowers away from sunlight, heat, and ripening fruits.
- Change & fill up the water in the vase daily, and remove spent/damaged flowers & stems.
- You can also recut stems after a few days (use sharp, clean scissors, and cut off the bottom 1” at an angle) to help the flowers drink fresh water.
Pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides are never used at the Longview Cottage garden. The goal is to create a healthy and safe environment for the flowers using natural practices. This helps them resist pests and diseases on their own, resulting in healthy, strong plants. This is done through organic horticulture, companion planting, regenerative agriculture, and attracting beneficial insects to the garden.
We can provide bundles of flowers for you if you want to DIY your own wedding/event, or work with your florist to help provide them with flora.
